For Prospective Students

I take pleasure in working with and talking to students at all stages of their education. I am always on the look out for economics minded PhD students interested in HR, labor, and how AI is impacting how people find and do work. I have also enjoyed working with ambitious masters level students through the HIRE Lab. I welcome your emails, but please write them in your own words. I receive a lot of page long emails with almost identical text which generally summarize the information on my website and tell me very little about the person reaching out.

When you reach out to me, please use your own words. It can be short! A bullet point or two is fine! Using AI to check for typos is fine, but please do not send me an email generated off of my own website. I would much rather hear, briefly and imperfectly, from you.
